My Volunteering Experience

Singapore Repertory Theatre: Macbeth (2025)

As Front-of-House crew, I was responsible for interacting directly with visitors by answering queries, managing crowd flow, ushering, providing directions, show information and booklets.

I also assisted with placing signage, setting up, carrying and placing equipment, and tearing down the venue after the show, including helping to clean the park for the next day.

ASEAN World Skills Suntec Convention Centre (2023)

I was primarily responsible for ushering guests, providing event information, and guiding them with directions and details about what they could explore inside.

With many school groups attending, I also helped manage crowd flow and monitored the booths to ensure smooth operations and event flow throughout the event.

Singapore Night Festival: Children's Museum (2024)

As part of the lighting crew for the event, I was responsible for positioning floodlights evenly throughout the park and monitoring their battery levels, as they were fully battery-operated.

I also ensured that visitors and children enjoyed their experience entering the “Jungle Realm,” which relied on vibrant, multi-coloured lighting.

Maintaining stable battery capacity was essential in keeping the atmosphere engaging and visually immersive.

Final Year Project: After Rain, We Breathe

As part of RP’s FYP production team, the group supported key technical operations ranging from sound cue management to lighting reliability and workflow coordination.

My responsibility was to document rehearsals and behind-the-scenes processes through photography, providing visual material for marketing collateral and archival records.
